The San Vicente Experience
This is based on OUR EXPERIENCE and is not intended to say something else or destroy someone’s or somebody’s reputation.
To get started,
A town in Baguio, San Vicente in particular, held their yearly town fiesta and they solicited for NIIT’s sponsorship, especially for their beauty pageant competition.
In response, NIIT gave away some cash and also promised T-shirts, medals, certificates and scholarship package to the winners of the said event. And also, as they requested, promised to send an NIIT representative to be one of the judges for the said event.
Our administrator gave me that role, however, I passed the honour to one of my co-instructor and promised to accompany him for the said event.
And on April 17, we went to San Vicente to fulfill NIITs commitment for the said event. But things didn’t go smoothly as expected.
We were instructed by our Administrator to go directly to San Vicente barangay hall and hope to get everything done from that point. However, it’s not what was expected.
As soon as we were in the barangay hall, we clearly introduced ourselves as representatives of NIIT. But their reaction is very unusual, that as if they’re not expecting some guess on the fact that they requested for.
One of them even said that “Anong gagawin niyo dito?”.
After a short conversation, we were sent to the venue of the event without someone to accompany us. And as soon as we’re on the venue, their SK chairman met and talked to us.
His introductory words are:
“Oh, anong usapan natin?”
“Asan ung mga T-shirts?”
“Sinong mag-jujudge sa inyo?”
"May scholarship ba?"
After we give the T-shirts, he/she (?) said that “Upo muna kayo dyan” then left us.
We then went to find some snack house to eat coz we’re very hungry that time due to straight 8 am – 5 pm work.
To be continued,... I’m sleepy and forget about the grammar....

Re: The San Vicente Experience
After our snack, we returned to the venue.
And we're amazed to find out that the organizers are real Filipinos -for the promised 7:00 PM start of the program bacame 8:30 PM.
We stand in the corner as the area starts to get crowded. One by one, other judges for different sectors and institutions arrived to the venue - and guess what, they are PROPERLY entertained.
But what I hate most is that, while we are talking with my co-instructor, the SK Chairman suddenly came and grab my co-instructors hand then "dragged" him to the judge's table.
wait for the part 3...
